in Ossining High School

The GO-TV television studio is located in Ossining High School, 29 South Highland Avenue, Ossining, NY 10562, in room 204, (which is on the second floor, just to the left of the top of the stairs next to the auditorium entrance). The studio can only be accessed when OHS building is open and school is not in session. The entire facility with a few equipment exceptions is shared with the Ossining High School Video Club who are responsible for, amoung other things, the Cablevision Channel 77, Education Channel. Current GO-TV studio hours are 6 to 9 pm Tuesday through Friday and 10 to 4 pm on Saturday. The GO-TV Studio is 28 by 24 feet and is partitioned into a main studio and several small offices. Main Studio

Main Studio Area

Main Studio - This is the area used to tape interview type shows. It is set up with three cameras on dollys, overhead lighting, and two walls configured as a backdrop. The studio area is approximately 16 by 13 feet in size, including space to operate the cameras.

Broadcast Room & Administrative Office

Broadcast Room & Administrative Office - This room/office is where the broadcast signals for three television cable channels originate, (GO-TV Public Access Channel 18, GO-TV Government Channel 78 and OHS Education Channel 77). The room doubles as the Administrative Office for GO-TV. This space is approximately 10 by 10 feet in size.

Control Room - This room is where the recording of audio and video from the main studio is recorded. This room is shared with OHS equipment. This space is approximately 10 by 12 feet in size.

Editing Suite - This room is where the GO-TV Shows are edited. We can't say much more than that as this space is only about 4½ by 5½ feet in size.

Editing Alcove - This area is where Shows are edited using the analog editor. This space is about 5 by 6 feet in size.

Reception Area - This equipment is part of WOSS FM, the OHS student radio station which is stored in the reception area in room 204.

Reception Area - This is the entrance foyer for the GO-TV studio suite, Room 204 at OHS. It's 'L' shaped and about 7½ by 11½ feet on the long sides and abour 4 feet wide throughout, around the Editing Alcove. This area can not be accessed when a show is being taped.
