GO-TV
Off the Air for the Second Time at the Hands of the Construction Company working
on the Athletic Fields
Ossining, NY (January 2006) GO-TV is temporarily out of service due to construction at the Ossining High School football field. For the second time in the past few weeks, the construction company accidentally dug up the Cablevision cables that run adjacent to the football field that feed the television signals for channels 18, 77 and 78, to the Cablevision system. Cablevision is working to restore the cables as soon as possible but bad weather and other delays are hampering the process. Anyone can call Cablevision and apply pressure to get the problem fixed quickly! Thanks for your help in this matter. The programming that is currently running on channels 18, 77, and 78 is being supplied by and the content is completely under the control of Cablevision.
GO-TV
broadcasts public access on Channel 18, and government access on Channel
78. Now in its 10th year of
operation, GO-TV serves the Village and Town of Ossining, Briarcliff Manor, Tarrytown,
Sleepy Hollow, and parts of Chappaqua, Pleasantville, Valhalla and Mount
Pleasant. GO-TV televises a growing
number of community activities and provides a variety of original programs, in
addition to broadcasting regular and special meetings of the Ossining Town and
Village Boards. The public studio hours are Wednesdays through
Fridays, from 6:00 p. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
